The Foyer

I am working on several new dioramas to be published in 2019. Meanwhile, I will post photos and descriptions of the rooms in the big Barbie house for the remainder of this year.

You enter Barbie's home at the second floor entry hall. A spiral stairway leads up to the porch where a rounded French door opens into the foyer. A working wood Grandfather clock from the Bombay Company keeps accurate time next to a potted silk plant in a decorative pot. There is a blue silk bench and decorative mirrors on the wall across from the clock. All floor coverings on this level are glass tiles. Other furnishings in the foyer are a brass and glass mirrored shelf unit with knick-knacks, a landscaped painting on an easel, and a decorative blue chandelier. Walls are wallpapered in a soft creme which adds to an elegant feel and look.
